13.05.12 STANLEY BRINKS AND THE FLYING KANIKS
Stanley Brinks aka Andre Herman Dune is a Swede living in Paris. The Flying Kaniks are his Norwegian acoustic bandmates.
An original member of the Herman Düne trio, he has recorded and played shows in Europe, the UK and the US under various other names: Ben Dope, Ben Haschish, Klaus Bong, John Trawling, Lord Stanislas…
He’s been championed by the likes of Jeff Lewis (who even wrote a song about how Herman Dune were better when Andre was still in them) and in 2010 he teamed up with much-loved UK indie-folkers The Wave Pictures to release the album ‘Stanley Brinks and The Wave Pictures’ (Ciao Ketchup).
‘ten songs of a quality as high as this represents another pleasant and worthy outing from Brinks in his post Herman Düne world’ – DrownedInSound
