20.04.08 Elaine Palmer
Elaine Palmer's craft and career have become steadily honed and warmly burnished since she first played at the Waiting Room 10 years ago as an already talented guitarist with a natural, easy low-slung voice. This time around she is playing in support of her latest album release.
The New Album 'Waves'
More diverse than 'Into the Spotlight' and featuring members of Lamb on double bass, cello, drums and electric bass. Elaine also plays many different instruments from classical guitar, accordian, harmonium, chimes, piano and even the piano strings. It was recorded at Analogue Catalogue in Manchester and engineered by Julie McLarnon (Lambchop, Nine Black Alps, King Creasote).
The album features epic full band songs and very intimate solo folk ditties. All the songs were written over a relatively short time which gives the album a continuity and specific flavour.
