Joanna Chapman-Smith brings a superbly entertaining performance to The Waiting Room.
With echoes of jazz and eastern European gypsy music, She weaves a magical, vibrant and utterly irresistible spell for her listeners that comes partly through her diverse ethnic background (Brought up in Canada with a Brazilian stepfather, and parents from New Zealand and Italy) and partly through her eclectic interests in world music, cabaret, circus and global travelling. Above all she has a voice that will captivate you with its passion and its sense of joy.
Her most recent single "Contraries", was awarded an International Music Award in the "Best Song" category for the extraordinary ‘Melodies’.
Just confirmed to the bill is Mat Martin and has toured extensively with Kirtsy McGee for several years, he plays an array of instruments from the mandolin, violin, 5 string banjo, guitar to the ukulele and kazoo.
