13.04.08 Rue Royale
Based out of Chicago, Rue Royale developed from the over-the-pond relationship of the son of St Louis Church Leading Parents Brookln Dekker, and 90's Brit Pop Child Ruth Dekker of Staffordshire UK. Influenced by Fleetwood Mac, Sufjan Stevens, Zero 7 and the northern UK soul of Elbow and The Doves, they began writing together and gradually developed the candle-lit Rue Royale sound, honed through acoustic gigs and home-recorded demos.
