Waiting Room News
Whoosh... and then it was Christmas... unbelievable. But there we have it - 2 weeks to go.
The Waiting Room Christmas menu began tonight, Prud and Anna and Sam and Emma pulled out all the stops to create the entire menu of glorious food in a day, for a packed restaurant this evening, and it's gone down very well indeed - I must say.
(Wednesday night's looking unusually quiet, but we're then busy into the new year, (so please book early if you're thinking of getting your fill).
ACTUALLY - on Thursday BBC Look North are coming to film what vegetarian food looks like at Christmas - so look out for that in the coming days. (Lasagne with a sprig of holly). We're not sure when it will be broadcast.
Now then - more on that presence pun... The Amazing Thomas Truax will be with us on Sunday (December 13th) - it will be great to see him again, along with his part-pram friend - Sister Spinster, and his part-gramophone friend - The Hornicator, and part washing machine friend - The Stringaling.
"A mixture of gothic fantasy, vaudeville and mad-genius invention. He’s the most unique and interesting one man band that you will ever seen, endlessly fascinating to watch." Truax performs brilliant songs, with mad-cap Seussian instruments that he has built from junk yard bits and bobs.
A few tickets were returned today for this once sold-out show.
The Carmen and Dick gig on Monday December 21st is SOLD OUT.
We are open up to and including Christmas Eve, we are going to close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and then we will be open through to New Year's Eve, closed on New Year's Day, and then back open again.
