The Waiting Room

 

We’ve got a new website!.. it’s at the old address – which is here... www.the-waiting-room.co.uk

The new website should be a bit slicker – at your end and at our end, and will have a few more features which we’ll run in over the next few weeks. (It's actually super slick at our end - and we'll be continually editing and refining the content so that it's a joy for you to visit us - (in the cyber soup as well as at 9 Station Road).

It also has some recipes! We get a lot of requests for recipes and have taken a long time to get around to putting them out there so sorry for the delay.

Also, to mark our 25th anniversary we’re making a Waiting Room book next year – it will include recipes but is more than a recipe book, and you can register your interest in it on the new site. We don’t know quite how long it will take or quite how we’ll produce it but we’re aiming for something pretty special that will grace any coffee table, or art gallery for that matter.

 

There’s a section on the website where we’re scribbling ideas for the book, and we’re welcoming comments on our work in progress, and also submissions from customers... more about the website further down, but we should pause here to draw attention to

We did send out a newsletter last week, but have been making some repairs to our mailing list so some of you who get this newsletter may not have got our last one - It can be viewed in the news section of our website. We had a few problems with our previous mailing list but this one should work. Quite a few people have said that they’ve fallen off the list – so if you know someone who might like to join or rejoin please tell them we’re back up and running.

OK - more in your guide to the new website (it's pretty self explanatory really so I wouldn't bother reading this if I was you)...

Our menus are in the menus section – currently our autumn menu is on and our Christmas menu can also be viewed.

We’ve got tabs within each section on the site and this is how to select the “Autumn Menu” or “The Christmas Menu” for example.
(The Christmas Menu commences on December 8th.)

Look in the events section! For some pretty amazing forthcoming shows. There are a couple we have just put up that will sell out very quickly.

There's also a ticker tape feature to look out for which will be particularly used for short notice announcements.

...That's enough of that for now... other than to say we're working on the site all the time, so where for example a recipe doesn't list the ingredients, or another could do with a better photo, or you can't see any of our awards listed on the awards section etc. We'll be getting around to it soon.

In the mean time please let us have any thoughts and feedback, which you may have about the site or anything else.
