SARABETH TUCEK + NATHALIE STERN - THIS SUNDAY

Sarabeth Tucek

Beautiful bare-soul song, Sarabeth Tucek has a singing voice compared with Karen Carpenter and is Influenced by Neil Young, Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan, (who she supported on a US tour a few years ago (by personal invitation)) She has been all over 6 music of late and has consistently attracted great acclaim since the release of her debut album Sarabeth Tucek in 2007.

Here she is on facebook http://www.facebook.com/sarabethtucek and here she is interviewing with Mark Riley earlier this year: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00h0slb

“ALL HAIL THE NEW QUEEN OF FOLKY TORCHSONG” – MOJO (4 STARS) “STUNNING DEBUT” – UNCUT (4 STARS) “A DUSKY, DESERT-FOLK GEM” – THE TIMES “ABSOLUTELY AMAZING: 8/10″  - NME “YOU MAY HAVE JUST FOUND YOUR NEW COMEDOWN QUEEN. LET EVERY GENTLE NOTE AND PIERCING WORD MOVE YOU SLOWLY AND SURELY TO TEARS” – TIME OUT “AN EXTREMELY FINE PIECE OF WORK FROM THIS EXTRAORDINARILY PROMISING NEWCOMER” – THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY “AMAZINGLY ACCOMPLISHED” – SUNDAY TIMES “HER RICH, SAD VOICE MAKES HER RISE ABOVE THE PACK” – DAILY TELEGRAPH “SOMETHING FOR YOU – THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SINGLE OF THE YEAR” – NME

PLUS: NATHALIE STERN.

Completing what is certain to be a magical bill is Swedish Nathalie Stern.

Here's what they say about Nathalie:

“Nathalie Stern makes music which I wouldn’t hesitate to term “incredible”.” - The Crack
“...the most enchanting music I've heard for some time” - NARC Magazine
“Her melodies sublime, her voice unique and her method mesmerising, I predict big things for her” - NARC Magazine
“Delicate, magical, heartfelt and delivered with an uncluttered naked grace” – Echoes and Dust
“ ‘Nu Vaknen och Glädjens’ with its softly unfurled monastic elegance should provide enough timeless mystery to keep the most ardent fan of Men An Tol and Circulus suitably awestruck and jaws agape. We need to hear more quite frankly.” – Loosing Today
“Can music be gently grandiose? This is.” - The Crack

From 7.00pm, Sunday September 18th, Ticket price £8
