Waiting Room News
THIS Sunday May 22nd The Matchbox Cabaret Proudly presents:
Malcolm Middleton
Deliciously raw low beat from one half of Arab Strap.
Fantastic songs that will have you leaning in to hear the uniquely personal and honest take of the man - without regard for usual trite pop conventions.
Arab Strap were an important element of the influential Glasgow scene of the 90's. Arab Strap were Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat - who each now produce solo work (Middleton had a top 40 Christmas hit with "We're All Going to Die" in the year that Leon Jackson was The X Factor number 1.
Middleton and Moffat are noted for a bleak songs and commentary as well as their honest dialect and dark humour, although Middleton's recent album A Brighter Beat indicates some glimmer for the toe tappers out there.
From 7pm this Sunday May 22nd.
